Rookie Stulin leads women's x-country in opener at Southern Maine

PORTLAND, Maine -- In a non-scoring meet, the Brandeis women's cross country team opened the 2011 season against the University of Southern Maine. The Judges were paced by rookie Miriam Stulin (Wellesley, Mass./Dana Hall School), who covered the 4K course in 15:42. Senior Kate Warwick (Boxborough, Mass./Acton-Boxboro) was the team's second finisher, just 10 seconds behind in third place. Sophomore Amelia Lundkvist (So. Portland, Maine/Cheverus), competing near her hometown, was seventh overall in 16:55, leading a pack of four Judges that included classmate Victoria Sanford (LaGrangeville, N.Y./Arlington), senior Monique Girard (Billerica, Mass./Billerica Memorial) and rookie Kristi Pisarik (Chelmsford, Mass./Chelmsford)
