Men’s Cross Country Finishes 3rd at UAAs, Women 4th

After running a bit short-handed the year before on their home course, the Brandeis men's cross country team had a terrific improvement at 2016 University Athletic Association championships at Emory, placing third, matching their highest finish since 2006, ahead of a pair of nationally-ranked opponents. Ryan Stender '18, who missed running at Franklin Park, finished second, while Mitchell Hutton '18 placed fourth, giving the Judges two first-team All-UAA runners. On the women's side, Emily Bryson '19 just missed out on defending her UAA title, placing third, while the ever-consistent Maddie Dolins '17 earned All-Association honors for the third time. Stender and Bryson would go on to represent the Judges at the NCAA Championships, with Bryson earning a second All-America honor, placing 21st, and Stender just missing out in 37th place.
