Getting to know Katie
My favorite athletic moment was: After practicing it for months, I scored an upper 90 winning goal off a trick free kick against our rivals. No moment has topped that in my whole soccer career.
I want to study abroad in: India. It has always been on my bucket list as a place to travel. There is no better way to get to know a country than by studying in it. Taking science courses there would allow me to not only expand my knowledge in the field, but see it from the perspective of someone living there.
My favorite movie is: The Great Gatsby with Leonardo DiCaprio. Based off a real historic time period, it shows the corruptness underneath all the wealth. Although I enjoyed the book more, I can turn on the movie any time and still appreciate it.
My favorite pro athlete is: I love David Ortiz with my whole heart. He has stuck with the Sox and has been with them for their huge World Series wins. His passion for the sport and for Boston is amazing. I have a signed ball and hat.
