Getting to know Sofia

My planned major is: Biology.

My favorite high school class was: Advanced Immunology, because it was a class that delved into a very specific branch of science. I feel this helped me be more engaged in the class since we were getting down to the nitty gritty of what the human anatomy and conditions consists of.

Outside of my sport, my favorite thing to do (or that I am looking forward to trying) at Brandeis is: Cooking. Im not sure if there is a cooking club but I'd really like to improve my cooking skills and learn more!

My favorite movie of all time is: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, because it's a movie that really stays with you afterwards. It makes you question how the idea of forgetting a painful memory or time in your lifewould change who you are. It makes the viewer stop and evaluate the decisions they've made in the past.

My favorite book is: One of my favorites is "As I Lay Dying" by William Faulkner. It was a hard read, no doubt, but the fact that I had to really analyze it to understand it really made me delve into the the book and the message Faulkner was trying to get across. I also like books that surround a family because I find family dynamic fascinating, whether it's fiction or real life.
