    For the first time since 2005, the Brandeis track and field team will send competitors to the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships. Sophomore Paul Norton will represent the men in the 10,000-meter run, while junior Beth Pisarik will run the 1,500-meters for the women.

    PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Brandeis University men’s track and field team competed at the 2009 University Athletic Association Outdoor Track and Field Championships this past weekend held at Carnegie Mellon. The Judges had six All-UAA performances at the event as they finished in seventh place with 35 points.

    LOWELL, Mass. – The Brandeis University men's and women’s track and field team competed at the George Davis Invitational on April 11 at UMass Lowell. In a non-scoring meet, the men’s team had one first-place finish and one second-place finish, while the women’s team had four first-place finishes, two second-place finishes and one third-place finish.

    Senior Anat Benun earned the third All-America honor of her career today in the triple jump, placing sixth at the NCAA Division III championships. Classmate Ali Sax placed 10th, just missing a spot in the finals.

    Sophomore Paul Norton and the distance medley relay team of senior Matt Jennings, sophomore Devon Holgate and rookies Marc Boutin and Mingkai Lin finished in second place to earn All-University Athletic Association honors at the conference championships at the Armory in New York City.

The 13th Hall of Fame Class will be inducted at an 11:00 a.m. brunch ceremony at the Westin Hotel in Waltham on November 1.

    Four different men, including sophomore Dan Anastos, picked up wins in the first meet of the spring semester for the Brandeis men's track and field team. The Judges finished behind host Bowdoin and the University of Southern Maine in their first scored meet.

    Three Brandeis student-athletes have earned University Athletic Association Athlete of the Week honors. Sophomore Anna Hanley was selected for women's fencing for the third time this season. Junior Terrell Hollinsearned the honor for men's basketball for the second time in his career, while sophomore Paul Norton of the men's indoor track and field team was recognized for the second time in 2008-09.
