Women's soccer puts four on All-New England squadDecember 10, 2010Senior Taryn Martiniello led a complement of four Brandeis women's soccer players selected to the NSCAA Division III All-New England team. The back was a second-team choice, while classmates Sofia Vallone and Tiffany Pacheco were third-team honorees at forward and junior Alanna Torre was named a third-team midfielder.

Women's soccer bows to Williams in NCAA tourney second roundNovember 14, 2010One of the most successful season in Brandeis women's soccer history came to a close today, as the Judges fell to Williams, 6-0, in the second round of the NCAA Division III tournament. Class of '11 members Ellie Einhorn, Taryn Martiniello, Tiffany Pacheco and Sofia Vallone will go down as the winningest senior class in program history with 51 victories.

Rookies lead Brandeis women past Castleton State, 2-1, in NCAA Tourney openerNovember 13, 2010The Brandeis women's soccer team got goals from rookies Mary Shimko and Hilary Andrews today as the Judges defeated Castleton State College, 2-1, in the opening round of the NCAA Division III Tourmament. Thanks to their first-ever NCAA tournament win, the Judges move on to face Williams College Sunday at 1 p.m.

Five from Brandeis women's soccer claim All-UAA honorsNovember 12, 2010The Brandeis women's soccer had five players recognized by the UAA for their efforts this season. Senior forward Sofia Vallone earned first-team All-UAA honors, while senior forward Tiffany Pacheco and junior midfielder Alanna Torre were second-team honorees. Junior midfielder Ellie Einhorn and senior back Taryn Martiniello earned honorable mention.

Einhorn pushes #25 women to brink of NCAAs with 2-0 win at NYUNovember 06, 2010Brandeis senior midfielder Ellie Einhorn had a goal and an assist today, to help lead the Judges to a 2-0 win at NYU in the team's regular-season finale. Einhorn assisted Sofia Vallone's record-tying 17th goal of the season in the 34th minute and added an insurance goal in the 69th minute. The Judges await their postseason fate on Monday morning.

Martiniello named to Academic All-District Second TeamNovember 03, 2010Brandeis senior defender and tri-captain Taryn Martiniello has been selected to the ESPN Academic All-District I Second Team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America. Martiniello has helped the 25th-ranked Judges to a 13-4-1 record, playing every minute of every game, while carrying a 3.67 grade point average as an economics and business double major.

UAA Road Trip coming to BrandeisOctober 08, 2010Atlanta-based writer Kevin Austin is touring all of the UAA campuses in his 1984 RV, Honey, as he prepares a book celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Association. Theodore headed home a Pacheco corner kick in the eighth minute for the game-winner.
