Payman named ITA Northeast Region and National Assistant Coach of the YearMay 25, 2011Assistant men's tennis coach Payum Payman has been named the 2011 Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Northeast Region and National Men's Tennis Assistant Coach of the Year for 2011. Payman helped guide the Judges to a national ranking in 2011 and coached senior Nick White to All-UAA honors at first singles.

White honored by UAA for performance this seasonMay 11, 2011Senior Nick White was named second team All-Association selection by the University Athletic Association for his performance this spring. White, with a singles record of 14-11, helped boost the Judges to 10-11 for the season.

Men's tennis falls to Division I Bryant, 7-0April 21, 2011The Brandeis men's tennis team, ranked No. 22 in Division III, dropped a 7-0 decision to Bryant University today in a match played under chilly conditions in Rhode Island. The Judges were playing under Division I rules, so a victory at No. 2 doubles by seniors Steven Nieman and Nick White was overruled by two Bulldog doubles wins.

Men's tennis rallies past Rochester, drops fifth place match to CaseApril 16, 2011The Brandeis men's tennis team fell behind Rochester, 3-0, after dropping their doubles matches, but the Judges bounced back by taking all five completed singles matches. After four straight-set victories, junior Dave Yovanoff came from behind for a 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 clinching win. The Judges went on to drop the fifth-place match against Case, 5-2.

#30 men's tennis splits singles, but falls in doubles to #17 CMUApril 15, 2011Despite playing without their usual #1 singles player and half of their nationally-ranked doubles tandem, the 30th-ranked Brandeis men's tennis team gave #17 Carnegie Mellon a tough match in the opener of the 2011 UAA tournament. Nick White won 11 straight games at No. 1 singles, while sophomore Josh Jordan won a third-set tiebreaker at No. 4 and rookie Adam Brown won in straight sets at No. 6.

No. 30 men's tennis falls to No. 13 Trinity CollegeApril 10, 2011The 30th ranked men's tennis squad fell to No. 13 Trinity College, 7-2, on Sunday afternoon, despite a win in the first doubles position from Nick White and Simon Miller, ranked 5th in the Northeast as a pair.

#30 men's tennis takes down second ranked opponent in a week, #20 MIT, 6-3April 07, 2011The Brandeis men's tennis team took down its second top-25 in three matches today as the No. 30 Judges knocked off No. 20 MIT, 6-3. After falling behind, 2-1, after doubles action, the Judges won five of six in singles play to earn the win. Senior Nick White at No. 1 doubles and No. 2 singles was Brandeis's only double winner.

#30 men's tennis bounces back to defeat Chapman, 7-2February 24, 2011After dropping two in a row to nationally-ranked squads on their California trip, the Brandeis men's tennis team bounced back with a 7-2 victory over Chapman University, evening their record at 2-2 on the sojourn. The nationally-ranked team of seniors Simon Miller and Nick White anchored the win with a tiebreaker in doubles and straight-set wins in singles action.

The Judges swept the Tigers in doubles action, and senior Simon Miller bounced back from a first-set defeat to pick up a victory at No. 1 singles.

Milo clinches win as Judges down Coast Guard, 7-2October 01, 2010Sophomore Steven Milo had the winning point tonight as the Brandeis men's tennis won its only dual-match of the fall season, 7-2, over the United States Coast Guard Academy. The match was played indoors in the Gosman Athletic Center because of the rain.
