Two members of the Brandeis University women's soccer team have earned All-University Athletic Association (UAA) honors. Senior midfielder Sarah Jasak of Middletown, N.J., and Sophomore forward Melissa Gorenkoff of Woodbury, N.Y., both earned second-team All-Association honors. This is the first All-UAA selection for both players, who were chosen by a vote of the conference's head coaches.
The Brandeis University women's soccer team will make its fifth-straight appearance in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England championship tournament. The Judges, who finished the regular season with a 10-6-2 record, earned the tournament's top seed and will host No. 8 seeded Emerson College (13-4-4) at 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 7 on Gordon Field.
Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Commissioner Rudy Keeling has announced that Brandeis University has been selected as the 2007 ECAC Jostens Institution of the Year. This award is presented annually to the ECAC institution that best exemplifies the highest standards of collegiate academics and athletic performance.
